Business Aides

wpe25.jpg (7742 bytes) If you were standing on a corner giving out hundred dollar bills to anyone who asked for one, you would not give one away in a month unless you told someone. Growing your business is no different. If you don't tell people you rebuild spears, they won't know you rebuild speakers. They are black print, on 1/4" white virgin vinyl, and can hang from two suction cups (included) inside or outside, as they are weather proof. These are a great way to promote your business through other businesses too. You can give one of these to each of your commercial customers to hang in their window so they can get more speaker repair business. They hang than and YOU get the work as if you had another location. We gave up a little clarity of the print for the durability. As a result they are not an in-store display sign. You can purchase as many as it takes to serve your commercial customer base. A great tool to create a profitable relationship with new commercial customers. No batteries required.

Every time a customer drops off a speaker you have customer information and work-to-be-done information right on the speaker. You may not think you are a large enough business to need the documentation that keeps the speakers in the shop sorted and labeled, however, if you have even one speaker in the shop for repair, you need to identify it with pertinent information. We tried everything from tie-on tags to metal rings and nothing has ever worked as well as Stop-Tags. Stop-Tags are pressure sensitive labels so they adhere right to the speaker frame or cabinet. You simply fill out a Stop-Tag from the In-Sheet and stick it to the speaker while it  is in your shop for repair. They are custom printed with your company info and are 20 per sheet. Each tag has a WARNING that removing this tag will void any and all warranty. Each tag has room for: Date, Customer name, phone and work performed. By their very nature they are a great marketing tool for you. When a customer tells someone about you, they can look on the back of their speaker for your number. Should a customer have a reason to return the speaker to you to exercise a possible warranty, you will be armed with the information your originally put on the Stop-Tag. If the Stop-Tag has been removed, there is no warranty except at your discretion. We discovered something interesting after we started using the Stop-Tags: Customers would return with another driver that looked identical to the one brought in earlier thinking they were having the same problem again only to find out they had brought a different driver for service. No Stop-Tag, it hasn't been in your shop yet. It is that simple.

I understand I am leaving audio equipment to be repaired and if I choose to leave this equipment at this repair station longer than 30 (thirty) days, this repair station has my permission to add storage fees to repair costs and/or dispose of my equipment without further notice. There is a 30 day warranty on car audio products.

Keep track of customers with InSheets personalized to your company. They are printed on 8.5" x 11" standard paper. You will always know which speaker belongs to which customer. Each customer signs the call-sheet affirming they understand the legalities associated with doing business with you. You can copy them or order them from WVS. The important issue is that You have a record that cannot be disputed. Understand this: when you recone a speaker, you have invested inventory in you customers equipment. If your customer abandons the speaker you are faced with storing the property for that customer and never receiving the profit you had depended on by performing the work to start with. This method will insure your ability to make a legal decision to sell the equipment for the cost of repairs. You need not worry that a customer will return months later expecting you to have warehoused the product in absence. You are in business to earn a living rather than becoming a storage area. Protect yourself from potential loss of profit and maybe your business by requiring each customer to enter into a contract with you for performance. Once completed, you can easily file away your customer history for future reference without worry that you have done something inappropriate because it is spelled out in plain and simple language. These are also invaluable for tracing customer phone numbers or to see what was brought in for repair two months ago so you can track your customer traffic. Your business depends on your ability to keep an accurate account of every single aspect of your business. These will help you recover any lost information and will allow you to look at your business history with complete accuracy.

Inventory management and parts ordering made easy and accurate.

In order to keep track of what parts you use on which speaker, you will need to use the register sheets or something similar. Personalized with your company name and contact information. When you use parts, simply fax this to your vendor and make easy work of reordering parts and managing inventory. Applicable use: When you need a cone that you do not have in stock, order 2. One for the customer and one for inventory. This is a truly painless way to build accurate inventory for your recone center.
