A69

The original air cure rubber cement.

A69 is used for spider and cone to fame. Being a rubber product, it will not dry out and break away from steel or aluminum. Clean up is similar to and just like A25, the 32oz containers are great storage containers for !69. Shelf-life is about a year. The 4oz container of A69 needs to be used within a week or so to prevent in-bottle curing.

A69 is a rubber adhesive that is a fast curing product as air cure adhesives go. A69 is amber in color and has been described by some reconers as "gorilla snot" because of its color. A69 is a MEK based adhesive. Because of this feature it will destroy foam and even plastic products if applied too generously.

Another attribute of A69 is the reconers ability to thin the product with MEK to the desired viscosity for securing pieces of debris in the magnet gap that are too large to retrieve through the gap. Thin A69 down to the viscosity of 5w oil and pour into the gap to hold the debris away from the gap. The loudspeaker does not get affected in any way in its performance. The A69 will cure into a paper thin membrane making great success short of removing the magnet's top plate.
